Their proven expertise in finance, insurance, technology and business development is focused on providing you with the best possible insurance for your home. Uri Feldman, co-Founder and CEO Uri Feldman, as co-founder and CEO, focuses on the strategic vision; handles the primary financial and administrative responsibilities; and assesses potential business opportunities for Oloop. Uri Feldman was most recently a member of senior management at Sunroad Enterprises. Previously, he founded and managed a search fund targeting industrial manufacturing operations in Mexico. In addition, he has worked in investment banking with Credit Suisse First Boston and NM Rothschild, in commercial banking with International Savings Bank, and in stock brokerage with CBI Casa de Bolsa. His experience has carried him to projects throughout the US and Latin America. Uri has an MBA from Stanford University with a Certificate in Global Management. He received his BA from the University of California, San Diego in Economics, minors in Biology, Chemistry and Judaic Studies; Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa. Uri Blackman, co-Founder, President and COO Uri Blackman has been involved with computer businesses for over 15 years. As the co-founder and President, he is responsible for the day-to-day execution, operations, business development and technology. At Netscape he was a product manager for Netscape Navigator 3.0, Communicator 4.5 and closed multiple revenue generating deals as a senior manager in Netscape's Netcenter. He further honed his business development skills in AOL's business development group. Uri also founded, wrote the software and served as CEO of a medical software company that sells product in over 45 countries. In addition he led enterprise software development at a company acquired by Baan. He was a commander in the Israel Defense Forces Intelligence Corp. and while still in high school started his first business writing software and selling PC compatible computers. Uri has an MBA from Stanford University, and received his BA, a dual major in Computer Science and Philosophy, from Tel Aviv University. Karlyn Carnahan, CPCU, Vice President Product As Vice President Product, Karlyn is responsible for designing and implementing the product and site, as well as developing and maturing insurance company and affinity partner relationships. Karlyn has worked in the insurance industry for 22 years. After a distinguished career culminating as an AVP at Fireman's Fund, with responsibilities including managing the agent relationships, new product research and design, commercial underwriting, and loss control, she joined Andersen Consulting, where she advised insurance companies in product design and claims system development. Karlyn joined NORCAL as Vice President, where she led the overall marketing efforts, including market research, product design, ratemaking, distribution channel management, sales support, corporate communications, advertising and public relations. Most recently, Karlyn was Senior Vice President of Product Planning at InsWeb, where she was responsible for all products (auto, home, life, specialty lines, and health). Industry Designations include CPCU, CPD, AAI, and ASP. She graduated magna cum laude from Cogswell College with a degree in Safety and Fire Protection Engineering, and received her MBA from Stanford University in 1987. Doug Carey, Vice President Business Development As Vice President of Business Development, Doug handles the development and execution of all marketing strategy, as well as implementation of all e-commerce/business partnerships. Doug Carey has extensive business development and deal structure experience in both the online and offline arenas. He was most recently VP of e-commerce at Homeservices.com, the online division of the second largest residential real estate company in the US. Previously he was head of corporate development at Circon (NASDAQ: CCON), with deals including licensing, joint ventures, and mergers, both nationally and internationally. In his last assignment at Circon, he led the longest successful defense of a hostile takeover (25 months) and concluded by orchestrating the sale of the company to Maxxim Corp. (NASDAQ: MAM) for $240 million. Previously, he was founder and CEO of Tetrahex International, a structural technology company with worldwide licensing of over 25 patents. His background includes Andersen Consulting and Bear Sterns. Doug graduated first in a class of 10,000 from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Business, and received his MBA from Stanford in 1990. |
